Lots of my friends asked me why I didn't post some pictures on my blog from this year's Sensation White event, so I put myself to work sharing some images, and continuing building my personal identity over the web, with the help of this blog.
This year I was with Rodin (which was also the last year), Cristi, and his girlfriend Nicoleta. Cristi is an old friend of mine who I share a lot of nice memories with, and we also work together at PetsFunky.com and Hugamate.com, because he is very talented at making jokes:).
To say a few words about this year's Sensation White, the music was better then last year, which made the event more beautiful. An exception was made by the Dj. Tocadisco who got nervous because the organizers did a huge mistake by not saying the Tocadico's name when he stared mixing, saying Marco V instead, and Tocadisco got angry, but he should have understood these mistakes can happen and should avoid other problems. After 15-20 minutes of his work people started to leave because of the shitty music, and I think he realised that and started mixing like a Dj.
Here is a video from Tocadisco work(the nice part recorded by Rodin).
And here are some pictures ;)
And final words... we will go again next year :) so.. keep in touch ;)
Last week I’ve just got back from a short holiday in France and Italy. We spent 5 days in Nice and 2 days in Venice. In Venice we stayed only 2 days because we’ve decided to leave on Sunday because there are no big trucks on the highway (we went there by car).
As it's known, France is number one in the food sector and as a result I gained 2 extra kg, but it worth it, the food being great in so many places. Of course we went to some places and we didn’t like it but comparing to Italy they are way on top of them. I will attach some photos from the streets of Nice.
In Nice I met an old friend of mine which I grew up with: George Vasea. This is the guy I used to share french fries made by his mom or my mom before I went to first grade and it was a big pleasure to see him again and to see that he is an open minded man and that he is not just a surface thinker.
In Nice there is a famous hotel called Negresco which was desinged on the inside by a romanian guy. I went there to see how it looks like and why it is so famous and I really like it. The hotel is exceptional but I think anyone can make a hotel look great with a bit of style and imagination, and, of course, money
I was in Monte Carlo last year too, and the pleasure for me is the same. The whole Cote d'Azur is very beautiful but Monte Carlo is still on top. We also went to Cannes and St. Tropez but it wasn’t as great as this.
Last year I staied in Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and this year I went there with Laura, my brother Dan and his wife Diana to have lunch. I am not used to eat 3 times a day as I shlould, and not on a regular basis, but for this kind of meal at this hotel, I will never say no. We took some pictures of the plates with food and desert. Of course I tasted everything and at that moment I felt like I had an explosion of tastes in my mouth.
In Monte Carlo we also went to the Oceanographic Musseum, where the musseum was divided and each floor had something else. We saw cool fish of different colours and shapes and at the top level there were prehistorical fish. There were movies with how fish used to be caught and photos of the Old Monte Carlo and old submarines and many marine stuff. Personally, I'd like to have a fishtank, but I can't take care of it while I'm always on the roads. If I will ever have a secretary, I think I will get a very nice fishtank on my officedesk and ask her to take care ofit while I'm gone.
I also went to check Port Hercules in Monaco I found out there was the Monaco's Yacht Show, which was happenning on a net stand area of 8,750 m², on quay exhibition area being 14,000 m². To describe it in few words: luxury boats -> very beautiful -> big prices. I saw 30 millions dollars boats and sincerily I frozed :), i am sure that maybe they worth this money but I think that 0,1% of the people of the world would pay this money for a boat no matter how beautiful it is. Just to enter I had to pay 50 euros/person and at the enterance they gave me a tag and a bag to collect the offers :).
In Venice we’ve stayed only 2 days because as I said we wanted to have a free trip back home without trucks. I liked Venice very much and I will go back there even if it's very expensive. Just to sit at a table without consuming anything, you pay around 3 to 5 euros... but the tip of the waiter is included and it's about 12 %. The buildings look good and the small streets give you the feeling that you are in an old movie. In Amsterdam, the water from the sewers were smelling badly but here I didn’t get the same feeling maybe because the turism here is way higher than there and they take better care of everything. Everywhere you look you can only see tourists and I think only 1% are locals and they work in the shops there. The shops are everywhere, you just need money there, Louis Vuitton, Armani, Hermes and many more were like the smoking shops in Amsterdam, everywhere.
Another thing I liked there was seeing the masks which you could buy in any corner of any street. I really don't think there is a shop in Venice that didn't have a mask to sell. (Brand shops are excluded). Also, the murano glass was everywhere, made in different shapes of cartoons and even movie caracters.
In June I was in Amsterdam for 11 days in order to go to Sensation White and Black. All this days we walked on the streets of Amsterdam, we visited museum, shops and of course we went to Red Light District where the street was full of window glasses where girls were just ready to be rented, the prices were about 50 euros for 15 minutes of “plesure”.
Amsterdam is a city full of water canals where the water is steady so when the first worm temperature comes is a fly invasion. It was good for us because the temperature wasn’t bigger the 20 degrees all this time that we spent there. All the city is 1,5 metres below the sea and we saw just a few buildings higher then 4 floors. On the water canals we saw a lot of house boats while we took a tour of the city in a nice ship and we found out that there are only 2000 houses like this and they are monitorized by the cityhall.
We went to Rembrandt house witch was very bus and to be honest I didn’t like it because there were just a few paintings. Comparing to other museums this was very small plus that it took us a while to find it because it looks like a regular house from outside.
At the Van Gogh Museum it was busy also but comparing to the House of Rembradt this was much bigger and there were a lot of paintings. From everything that I’ve read about Van Gogh I reached the conclusion that he was a crazy man obsessed by religion who killed himself at the age of 37 by shooting himself in the chest….maybe he had a break down. The paintings I can’t say that I like it very much, but he was very advertised there. I saw a lot of painting in Vienna at the museums there which impressed me a lot. Anyways the museum was ok so if you go to Amsterdam pay it a visit.
From all the museums I visited in Amsterdam the one I liked better was The Science and Technology Museum called NEMO. This museum is very educational, a fun place to find and see smart things. From here I got a lot of puzzles and I am still trying to put them together. If I will ever go back to Amsterdam I will go there again if I will have time.
The Red Light District was full of sex shops and bars where you could smoke marihuana. First time when I saw a woman in a window glass I had an empty feeling in my stomach because all my life I saw only things, food or cars in this window glasses, never a human being. This street was full of this window glasses but the most shocking thing there were a few kinds not older the 10, 11 years old that we smoking marihuana…when I saw then the first thing that came into my mind was if I would have done something like this at that age where would I be today or what if my kids will do this at this same age what would I do???
Taking some walks there I saw lots of boats where parties took place or weddings or just couples taking a nice ride. It is true that people can party there but if you are not used to drugs things can get embarrassing for you and annoying because at every corner there is someone who’s asking you if you want to buy cocaine. After a few days I got used to this and ignoring them.
All this time we didn’t got out to the city or anywhere with the car because just a few people are using the cars there, everybody goes there with bikes. It’s simpler and easier to rent a bike, an awful one, but I had to adapt after a lot of years that I didn’t used any bike. It’s used to say that you never forget to ride a bike…false…you should know that it took me a while until I got used again to ride a bike (around 20 minutes).
Finally I realized to public the post about Sensation Black where I felt so comfortable until the second part of the party when the dj's playing hard style music came, and the music become nothing else the very sharp sounds. There was nothing melodic about it, not a pleasant rhythm just something that was getting you tired with that noise. I was disappointed of Sensation Black where I was expected to be at least as good as the last years where the music was mostly hard-style and terror-style.
What I've liked the most at Sensation Black was the opening witch was much better then the one from Sensation White and the laser light were superb. The dj’s that I’ve liked there were: Dana, Luna and Black Identity.
Now let`s see few movies :)
Next year i will go to Sensation Black only if there will be more dj's like Dana, Luna, Technoboy, Blutonium Boy or other HardStyle dj's.
07.07.07 it was a great day because of the special event that is taking place once a year, called SENSATION WHITE.
After a planning with a few months before, we archive to buy the tickets from a site that has nothing to do with the original event site (the original event site is the only one who sells tickets online legally), the tickets we got were 3 times the original price. To find a place to stay in Amsterdam was actually easy to find because of the companies who rets online, to stay in an apartment with 3 rooms we paid 1800 euros for 11 days (because we are going to SENSATION BLACK also, as I said.....after a dose of good comes a evil one), and the tickets were 150 euros each.
I found out about this event two years ago and I am sincerely telling you that it worth the effort to come to Amsterdam with the car (2500 km).
Let us show you a few photo to describe a little the atmosphere. In the pictures you will see me, I am wearing glasses in most of the pictures either on my face either on top of my head, Edi the guy with the long blond hair, Rodin the guy with the short hair and a white hat in some pictures and Laura the girl with black hair.
It was really hard to leave because none of us wanted to go but we were afraid that we wouldn't be able to find a cab. Of course we had to wait at least 30 minutes on the line to get a cab :).
As soon as we left the Arena, between the small talks with each other an idea came out.."Are we going to come next year also?", and of course the answer was "YES!" from everyone.
I have selected a few videos that I've made (of course low quality) and I posted here to always see that what was there is unforgettable and in the same time sensation ;).
This Saturday, meaning 14.07.2007 we will go to Sensation Black so wish us to have fun and come back next week for the Black post.
